If you were unlucky and missed out on a spot, you can still grab a charity entry and run for one of the official race partners, including Macmillan Cancer Support and Children’s Hospice South West.
The event has seen entry numbers increase steadily year on year, and organisers are excited to announce this year’s race has already seen a record number of runners sign up. Grab a place and set yourself the ultimate fitness goal in 2016 to complete Plymouth’s Half Marathon!
Both presenters have been regular fixtures on race day for a number of years, hosting the main stage, but this will be the first time either has taken on the popular South West running event!
Jamie Warren, Head of Marketing at GO2, said: “We have seen a huge spike in the numbers of runners looking to take on Plymouth’s Half Marathon over the New Year, and with three months still to go until race day, there is plenty of time for even absolute beginners to follow our 12-week training plan to get you ready for your first ever half marathon!
Following on from the success of this year’s race, organisers are anticipating another high take up of entries, and even the prospect of a race sell out.
Last New Year, 2.6 million people in the UK decided to change their diet and exercise habits in a bid to shape up. However, within two weeks, 92 percent had already ditched their resolution in favour of returning to their old ways…
The reduced price will be available until midnight Monday 30th November for the popular event, taking place on Sunday 17th April 2016.
