The reduced price will be available until midnight Monday 30th November for the popular event, taking place on Sunday 17th April 2016.

Following on from the success of this year’s race and the fantastic response so far, organisers are anticipating the race to sell out. Plymouth’s Half Marathon will once again see thousands of runners take to the start line on The Hoe, alongside an abundance of supporters who come out to show their support along the entire race route.

The 2016 race will again see thousands of local school pupils complete their own collective half marathon distance as part of the Plymouth’s Half Marathon Schools’ Challenge. During the 2015 event, over 2,600 local schoolchildren helped to raise vital funds for CLIC Sargent in the South West, the cancer charity for children and young people.

Jamie Warren, from organisers, GO2, said: “We are so pleased to see Plymouth’s Half Marathon continue to grow, and hope to see more participants than ever be inspired and motivated by the thousands who took part earlier this year!

“With just under six months until race day, now is the perfect time to set yourself an amazing challenge for 2016, and make it a year to remember!”

Now heading into its 23rd year, Plymouth’s Half Marathon is known for its scenic route and friendly atmosphere. The 13.1-mile journey will start and finish at The Hoe, with a varied course that boasts coastal views, the Barbican harbour and even the stunning National Trust grounds of Saltram Park.

Year after year, thousands of spectators come out to show their fantastic support for all the runners in Plymouth, so you can expect to hear big cheers as you cross the finish line!
